About Us

High Peaks United believes that the essence of a community is the collective sum of decisions from those who live there. Through the decision to play soccer together and unite in the common desire of health through physical activity and sense of belonging, HPU was formed. It is composed of a group of women who want to make decisions together to strengthen and grow the Saranac Lake and Lake Placid Community.

High Peaks United organizes adult soccer leagues that runs multiple 6-10 week sessions per year. Players in this league participate in “Pay as you can dues” that are suggested at $50 per person.

Every year HPU will work on a singular or a variety of community service oriented projects. These projects could range from helping one person, one family, a team, organization, or school. All projects will be reviewed and decided upon through the lens of SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timely) Goals.
